LSU Advances to Men’s College World Series Finals After Stunning Ninth-Inning Comeback Against Arkansas

LSU pulled off a dramatic comeback in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Arkansas and secure a spot in the 2025 Men’s College World Series finals. The Tigers erased a two-run deficit by capitalizing on key Razorbacks errors. Derek Curiel reached second base after a wild throw. Then, Ethan Frey walked, and a fielder’s choice put runners on first and second with two outs.

Luis Hernandez followed with a deep drive to the outfield. The ball hit the outfielder’s glove and dropped, allowing two runs to score and tie the game. Jared Jones came up next. His hit also slipped off a fielder’s glove, bringing home the winning run.

Arkansas remains winless against LSU in Omaha, falling to 0-5 all-time. With this victory, the Tigers advance to face Coastal Carolina in the MCWS finals starting June 21. The first team to win two games will claim the national title.
