Tyrese Haliburton’s Clutch Shot Secures Indiana Pacers’ 111-110 Comeback Win Over Oklahoma City Thunder in NBA Finals Game 1

OKLAHOMA CITY — Tyrese Haliburton has once again proven he’s the king of playoff game-winners. With just 0.3 seconds left on the clock, Haliburton’s clutch jumper completed a stunning comeback, leading the Indiana Pacers to a thrilling 111-110 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The Pacers, who set an NBA record this postseason with three comebacks when trailing by seven or more points in the final minute, overcame a 14-point deficit early in the fourth quarter. Despite being down by five with just 90 seconds remaining, Indiana’s resilience and Haliburton’s poise helped secure the win.

Haliburton, an All-NBA guard known for his game-winning shots against Milwaukee, Cleveland, and the New York Knicks earlier in the playoffs, nailed a 21-foot jumper that held up after video review, sealing the victory.

Oklahoma City’s MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 38 points but missed a critical 15-foot shot that set up Haliburton’s game-winner. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 19 points, while Obi Toppin added 17 off the bench. Myles Turner and Andrew Nembhard each scored eight points in the fourth quarter to help fuel the comeback.

Despite committing 25 turnovers—the most in an NBA Finals game—the Pacers maintained their composure and are now just three wins away from their first NBA championship.

Game 2 is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sunday at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center.
